Unheard Message - Tony Bailey Release Date: August 2002 Genre: Acoustic, Soca, World, Easy Listening As a singer, songwriter, lead guitarist and founding member of krosfyah, Tony Bailey has distinguished himself as a multi-talented musician. Unheard Message, the debut solo CD from Tony "Rebel" Bailey, showcases his highly diversified musical and lyrical skills. The 20-track CD contains selections well known to all krosfyah fans such as Ruff Rider from Kool Under Fire and Don't Hold Me Back from Best of Krosfyah. In addition, there are several acoustic/easy listening tracks in a totally different vein from anything we've heard from krosfyah. You won't be disappointed. All 20 tracks were written by Tony Bailey. His lyrics run the gamut from deeply personal and introspective selections such as Fly Angel Fly (in memory of his late father) to rousing party tunes like Don't Hold Me Back. There's something for everyone on Unheard Message. One of more outstanding tracks is Call Me. The musical arrangement is top-notch, vocals are crisp and clean, and the lyrics leave you feeling warm inside. It's simply a superb song. You can't help but fall in love with this one. All You Need, a song of love and commitment (or fear of commitment) has a bouncy rhythm, great horn section and lyrics that tell a universal story in song. All You Need is a memorable tune that grows on you more with each listening. And this is one that you'll want to listen to again and again. For all the party animals there's Cell Block III (the place they send people who party too hard). Arranged by the legendary Nicholas Brancker, Cell Block III is an marvelous tune that's sure to liven up and soca fete. Another terrific track is Ruff Rider. Some songs are just fun to listen to and Ruff Rider is 100% fun. Other outstanding tracks include Making Up, Champion Lover, and Here I Am. The final track is the high-energy party tune Don't Hold Me Back. Guaranteed to make you dance, this is one of Tony Bailey's best ever. I love this song.
