Determination The great "undiscovered" talent of Admiral Tibet is one of reggae's best-kept secrets. The veteran roots-reggae singer has been on the scene since about 1985 but has not received the recognition that many lesser talented artists have gotten. That should change with his latest CD Determination. Outstanding vocals, flawless production, and inspired lyrics replete with style and substance make Determination one of the best of the genre. This 15-track must-have CD is bound to become a classic. The fabulous opening track, Why So Greedy, sets the stage for a truly incredible musical experience. From beginning to end, every track is a winner. If I were forced to pick one track as my favorite, it would be the wonderful repatriation anthem One By One. I love this song! You can't appreciate what a truly gifted singer Admiral Tibet is until you've listened to One By One. Outstanding vocals and powerful lyrics performed over a backdrop of nyabingi style drums combine to make One By One an unforgettable song that you just won't be able to get enough of. Songs such as Why So Greedy and Rich Don't Care deal with very serious matters yet have a danceable beat making the music accessible to diverse audiences. Other standout songs include Why Should, I Know, Joy, and Give Praises. With so many first-rate songs on Determination I feel like I'm doing an injustice to the songs not named as standouts.
