Love Knows The Way - Kashief Lindo Release Date: April 9, 2002 Label: VP Records/Heavybeat Records When I think of Kashief Lindo, the first word that comes to mind is quality. And Kashief does not disappoint with his latest release Love Knows The Way. I love this CD! Love Knows The Way is a fine example of the best of today's music. A compilation of lover's rock and conscious tunes, this 20-track CD is loaded with gems. One of my favorites is Where Do I Fit In. Some songs have to grow on you, while others hook you the very first time you hear them. Where Do I Fit In is one of those songs that you instantly fall in love with. This one will grab you with the opening notes, Kashief's perfect tenor voice will take you to another level, and the lyrics will make you stop and listen. In today's world, the struggle to get ahead can sometimes take a toll on relationships. Where Do I fit In expresses this beautifully. Another one of my favorites is the up-tempo Steppin. No nonsense lyrics and a rhythm that sticks with you make this one of the best tracks on the CD. Say So is a fantastic song. The production and arrangement are masterful and Kashief's delivery is flawless. Great keyboards on this one. Other standout tracks include the fear of commitment song Maybe, the up-tempo version of the title track Love Knows The Way (track 11), Leave A Little Love, Who and the strongly R&B influenced Can't Get Over You. This one has major crossover potential. Kashief's conscious side comes through brilliantly on tracks such as I Pray and Love Is Just A Heartbeat Away. The lyrics are meaningful and very well written. Produced by Willie Lindo, Love Knows The Way is a CD of exceptional quality. The father and son team of Kashief and Willie Lindo is a combo that should go far in the world of reggae and in the world of music in general.
