Here's my autobiography (the extra-short version). I am African-American, born and raised in Charleston, SC, and now living in Raleigh, NC (USA). My passion is Caribbean style music. This may seem a bit strange since I had no exposure to Caribbean music growing up in South Carolina and for much of my adult life. It was not until the early 1990's when BET (Black Entertainment Television) aired the program Caribbean Rhythms that I had my first exposure to music of the West Indies. I quickly discovered that I enjoyed the reggae, soca, and other sounds of the Caribbean far more than anything being made in America.
Wanting more, I turned to the Internet in search of Caribbean music. At first it was difficult finding music sites. It took time and effort but I eventually found a few CDs and websites related to the music. Today there is a musical gold mine on the Net. It's my hope that this website will make it easier for others to find all the best Caribbean music related websites on the Net.
